Horizontal Wire Rod Pay-off

The AFN MAKİNA Horizontal Wire Rod Pay-Off is designed to provide reliable, orderly, and continuous feeding of wire rod coils into wire drawing lines. The wire is unwound directly from the center of the horizontally positioned coil and fed smoothly into the wire drawing machine.

Its simple and robust design operates without an active control system, offering reliable performance with minimal maintenance requirements. The unit is primarily used as a pay-off system for wire drawing applications, ensuring stable wire feeding and improved production continuity.

Coils can be easily loaded using a forklift or overhead crane. Continuous production can be achieved by welding the leading end of a new wire rod coil to the trailing end of the running coil before it is fully consumed, significantly reducing downtime and increasing production efficiency.
