Armoring Line

The AFN MAKİNA Armouring Line is designed for the precise application of steel wire armour to medium- and high-voltage power cables and specialty cable products, providing superior mechanical protection and long-term reliability. Its robust mechanical construction, synchronized drive technology, and advanced automation system ensure continuous and efficient production for a wide range of cable constructions.

The line consists of a Rotating Pay-Off, Basket Pay-Offs, Multi-Wire Pay-Offs, an Armouring Cage, high-speed taping units, a Rotating Caterpillar (Belt Puller), and a Rotating Take-Up. Depending on customer requirements and cable construction, the line can be configured with different numbers of wire pay-offs and taping stations.

Precise tension control and synchronized drive systems ensure uniform lay length and accurate placement of the steel armour wires around the cable. The PLC-based automation system provides complete process control, ensuring consistent product quality and maximum production efficiency.
