Caterpillar (Belt Puller)

The AFN MAKİNA Caterpillar (Belt Puller) is designed to transport and pull wire and cable through production lines with constant traction force while protecting the product from deformation. Its robust mechanical design, powerful pulling capacity, and precise speed control ensure reliable performance even at high production speeds.

The machine is ideally suited for extrusion, sheathing, armouring, screening, rewinding, and various other wire and cable manufacturing processes requiring high pulling forces. The belt-driven traction system provides uniform gripping pressure over the cable surface, ensuring stable pulling without damaging the product.

The gripping pressure and belt tension are independently adjustable by means of a pneumatic system. Flexible pressure rollers allow cable joints, welds, and diameter variations to pass smoothly through the machine without interrupting production.

Different pressure configurations are available to match various pulling force requirements. Horizontal and vertical guide rollers at both the inlet and outlet ensure precise cable guidance throughout the production process.

Power is transmitted by a speed-controlled AC motor directly coupled to a right-angle gearbox, providing high efficiency and reliable operation. Upon request, the machine can be equipped with a measuring wheel for line speed and production length measurement. Measurement data can be displayed directly on the machine's control panel or integrated into the production line control system.
