The AFN MAKİNA Drum Twisting Line is a versatile production system designed for the high-efficiency stranding of insulated conductors, power cables, and large cross-section multi-core cables. Its robust mechanical construction, modular design, and advanced automation technology provide outstanding performance for the production of medium- and high-voltage power cables, control cables, and various specialty cable applications.
Drum Twisting Lines are used for stranding round and sector-shaped insulated conductors, manufacturing multi-core power cables, and producing a wide variety of cable constructions. Depending on production requirements, the line can be equipped with taping, filling, screening, and steel wire armouring units, allowing multiple manufacturing processes to be integrated into a single production line.
The line consists of a Drum Twister Pay-Off, Basket Pay-Offs, guiding equipment, Twisting Assembly, taping units, a Rotating Caterpillar (Belt Puller), and a Drum Twister Take-Up. Optional equipment such as filling units, length measuring systems, spark testers, automatic binding systems, and other auxiliary devices can also be integrated according to customer requirements.
A PLC-based automation system, synchronized AC or servo drive technology, and precise tension control ensure accurate management of the entire production process. The user-friendly control system enables easy parameter adjustment, process monitoring, and production data recording, ensuring maximum productivity and superior product quality.
